My mate from Perth, Ben van Grootel, has been touring the south east of Australia with his band Streetlight of late and was finishing up in Sydney. While I couldn't make the gig on Friday at Candy's Appartment I made the earlier one last night at Spectrum on Oxford Street in Paddington. Was great to finally hear them live (even though I forgot my ear plugs, and thus couldn't get as close as normal to the speaker stacks).
